As title really. Just wondered how the Elixir 5 and Elixir R are different and if there's any noticeable difference in power? The 5's calliper looks bigger to me, and I wondered if this produces more power. Anyone run both and know the answer? Ta.

Absolutely no power difference across any Elixir model. Only adjustments change.

I thought the 5s used the old style juicy caliper? In which case the r is more powerful

Cheers neallyman. I know that's what they say in the blurb, but is it actually the case on the trail, do you know? The lever and the calliper are both slightly different. Difficult to imagine this doesn't affect performance. Ta.

You thunk wrongly, they are the same, the R has tool free reach adjust.
