About to make a purchase- but the seller states:

We can’t offer returns on these as they are a less than trade price clearance item and when they are gone we won’t have any more.

Happy to deal with any returns on new regular stock items. We do not offer any returns on used, discounted or clearance items. But we are fair people so give us a call with any problems and we’ll always do our best.

I thought they had to accept returns according to distance selling regulations? I’ve emailed them to clarify but if I purchased and the item doesn’t fit, can I legally return it for a refund regardless of the companies own t+c’s?

They are in breach of distance selling regulations. Ebay would force the point but I’d just find a seller who operates within the law.

TBH most places that breach the DSRs do so by mistake… Can lead to a fight or at least a frank exchange of views though, can you be bothered?

Its a great price, so hoping they’ll see sense! Just asking before I click buy rather than worrying after!
