just about to order one of these DX lights https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25149

is there anything else I need to order with them?
adapter plug (or can I just wire in a 3-pin plug) for the charger?
    bar mount?

hmmmm, or do I go for a couple of the P7 flashlights?

    2 P7 lights + 4 batteries + charger + mounts = $99 (v's $80 for bike light)

each flashlight should be as bright as the one bike light… the bike light is good for 3hrs (on full) but the torches are only good for an hr (on full). S'not dificult to stop and change the batteries on the torches though..
Depends if you want a handy torch you can use off the bike or want a bike specific kit that doesn't need faffing* with half way round a ride

*it's hardly faffing to be fair, but some muppets think a 1minute break on a night ride is a major hassle.

2 torches are more adaptable too, gaffer tape one to your hat.

I'm going to buy on of the bike kits as a commuting light though, come autumn.

thanks. i've already got a couple of the fenix torches too but need something else – might just get 2 p7 torches then.

which is the one to get as there seem to be a few 900(!) lumen ones on the website?

    The original 2 mode P7

A P7 but with 5 modes (so you get a low/medium & high beam options – well recommended)

One I prefer, as I think the LED is brighter, though it has 8 modes which is annoying (flicking through modes you don't need to get to the 3 that are useful)

Batteries (for all of the above)

Battery charger (you might want to buy a europen plug adapter, or just wire a UK plug on it)

Hi Max, I have one of these lights and all you will need is a plug adaptor. It is brighter than my cree 3 led lamp and seems to be very good. Give me a bell and I'll bring it over to Swinley if we ever get round to sorting that out.

Thanks Boobs (matt?) but i'm away for next 5 weeks so won't get to Swinley for some time afraid.
