    Hello

just dropped my laptop (on the touch at the mo). It stopped working and won't start back up.
Anyone know if it can be fixed without costing too much? Also if it's a case of a new laptop, is there anyway of getting my music and photos off there? And yes, I should have made more back ups of the important stuff – doh!

Find somebody with an external hard drive caddy, take the hard drive out of the laptop, put it into the caddy and see if you can get your data off.

I take it someone like the tech guys at pc world would be ok? Or would that be like taking your bike to halfords?

I'd find a local independent PC repair shop. In my experience, PC World can be hit and miss.

If you're anywhere near Staines, my mate runs a little shop. There nothing he doesn't know about fixing computers.
