Hi there,
I have these disc brakes. They went a bit squealy recently, and now they seem to have lost quite a bit of their stopping power - there is no chance I could do an endo now. No leaks or anything. I've been riding a lot over the winter, through mud, snow etc. and not done anything to the brakes ever.
Levers don't feel squidgy or anything so I don't think they need bleeding.
Is this a sign that I just need to replace the pads, or is there something else I might need to do?
Also, the manual says to make sure before each ride that you have at least 0.8mm of pad left. Is it possible to check this without actually taking the wheel & pads out?
Joe
