4 of us southerners are going up to Appletreewick next weekend and have not much knowledge of that south east part of the Dales. Any recommendations or links gratefully received. Looking for good cross country rather than freeriding or full face hhelmet stuff (heaven forbid!).

The bridleway across Barden Moor is good, so are the routes over Weets Top, lots to choose from.

Dont go in the Craven heifer (?) in Appletreewick, you will never leave….one of the best pubs in the whole world !. proper Real ale pub and incredible food (and dont ask them to take the sparkle of the pumps you soiuthern faggots 😆 as you will get linched)…..seriously you probably will!

Did anyone remember “Yorshires Perfect Pint”…or something like that, ITV Monday nights 10pm ish a few years back, the guy who did it owned the above pub. Me and my mate went for a couple, post bike ride, and the guy who did the documentary was sat at the bar absolutely F£$%^& out of his face about 2 in the afternoon, hilarious!

    Enjoy!

Good base for some great scenery and riding.
