Just wondered what were on peoples list of top cycling related things to do before they die… any suggestions welcome.

A select few from my list in no particular order are

La Marmotte, Grand Raid Cristalp, Raid Pyrenean, Leadville 100, 3 Peaks, Scotland Bothy trip, Chamonix to Zermatt.

    Let me know yours.

Self supported wilderness trip, usefully own and use a cargo bike, ride an enduro and have people think I actually know what I am doing!
Some modest ambitions but tend to see a big thing, and want to do that, like Kielder 100…

Some sort of suitably impressive road gap.

It might be nice to finish my current build before I die but that's a long shot.

I really want to do one of the big assed alp climbs.
My dirt jumping days are over but I'm happy with what I did in that area.

I'd also want to do a long, long road trip. Couple of months around Europe I reckon, but not on a shoestring, I quite fancy being able to stop in nice hotels around the way, maybe spend a few days in posh seaside resorts.

Of course, I'll need to come into some big money to do it.

Anyone else got the November 1997 edition of Mountain Bike World? (Ancestor of Singletrack).
It has a 100 things to do before you die feature. Some good ones in there.
Some might be quite hard to arrange: "Go drinking with Rob Warner and/or Steve Peat".

From what I've read on twitter 'I'm buying!' should be enough to secure that one.

Just to be able to do this would be enough. Even the 2 light route was too scary for me 🙁 Thank god my Rear pads had worn out by this point

How about introducing a non cyclist to the wonderful world of biking? I think this was in the magazine in a similar list. I took a load of my triathlete mates mountain biking which was great fun. Good karma IMHO.

Build your own trails (esp some cheeky ones deep in a forest somewhere) with some sweet timber frame action and all that good stuff.
