    Self explanatory really.
Do I need a BC race licence to take part ? I have BC membership, do I need to arrange a race licence to take part or not ? I’ve checked the CX rules/guide on the BC website, but can’t fathom out whether I need one or not.
    Thanks,

No. Normally a couple of quid more without.

BC Bronze is enough for the majority of races.
This was one of the deals done when the BCU took over the CX Assn 10 years or so ago – to make sure the sport was accessible to lower level riders.

When you say you have bc membership what level?

I have bronze membership, with which you get a provisional licence. I’ve never done a national series race but all regional series raced I’ve done have accepted it without incurring any fees.

    Thanks all.
My BC membership is ‘Ride’ – so I think I’ll need to upgrade.

For the regional / local CX series I think you can just get a day licence – £3 per event when I did a couple last winter.
