I’ve just noticed that my relatively new helmet (December ’09) has a crack in the polystyrene under the shell. It hasn’t been subjected to any impact and has no other marks on it other than the usual wear and tear scuffs from being put in bags or on hard surfaces.
After a quick chat on the phone with the supplier I’m sending it back for them to have a look. I won’t say who they are or what type it is, but they are both well known.
I always had the impression that helmets were funny things when it came to warranty claims. Has anybody else been in a similar situation? How did you get on?
