I can’t get my wool carpet to stop smelling. I have two young kids and so the carpet does get milk spilt on it and the youngest does still like to mark his territory.
I have tried a carpet cleaning machine but as it’s a concrete floor it never dries quickly and so smells damp.
Is there a way to get it clean without soaking it

Replace it with a more child-compatible floor covering?

I’d hazard you’d need some form of enzyme-based / biological carpet cleaner to deal with both spilt milk and, erm, child juices. IANAcarpetcleaner.

Probably going to end up replacing it with something a bit more resistant.
Was hoping to get another year or two out of it but the smell is really getting to me

Milk and wee are going to make any absorbent floor covering smell if either are not dealt with thoroughly at the time of the spillage/leakage.

As far as what to use now, when both have matured, I would go along with Cougar and likewise, IANACC

Training would be much better in the long run and more than likely cheaper in both time and money, but I guess you’ve considered that? 😉
