What usage do you need? Or is it pay as you go?
A bit of basic information is needed.
Or you could just look up the various deals and comparison websites.

Contract with about 400 ish minutes per month, plus 500 ish txts.
I've looked around and the cheapest is £25. Before signing on the dotted line and given the fact that loads on here have smartphones I thought I would ask in case there is a killer deal out there!!!

£25 on how long a contract? It's kinda crucial to the whole thing...
Worth looking at buying the handset up front (sim free) and then getting a cheap sim only contract (or payg). Can often be cheaper overall if you shop about, plus more freedom.
Finally, who are you with at the mo? Have you spoken to their retentions department? (phone up to ask for a PAC to port your number, you should get to speak to someone about leaving. Getting a PAC is no commitment to use it!)

I can get you £49.99 for the phone 36 month contract £20 a month 500 mins and unlimited texted. I can also get you a cash back card which could mean you get the phone paid for every month, depending where you shop.

The other thing you need to consider is data, you must get at least 500mb or your Desire isnt worth having!
