Hello, I was thinking of getting a Chameleon(08) and running it as a single speed. I was wondering if anyone out there has one and what their opinion was of them. Is rear wheel removal an ordeal, due to the EBB?

Why would an EBB make the rear wheel removal more difficult? It makes it easy peasy as you can just use a QR with the standard drop outs.

With the ‘normal’ dropouts you won’t be putting extra tension on the chain to drop the wheel out unlike horizontal/track dropouts, so you’ll be fine.

I used one with a Rohloff.
The EBB makes no difference to rear wheel removal, why do you think it would ?

I was told that the Ebb takes up the tension, so has to adjusted or slakened off to release the wheel. But if that is not the case, all the better and I head to a dealer

No, that’s the big advantage of an EBB, or sliding drop outs, over slot drop outs.
You only need to adjust the EBB to take up chain wear.
Taking the wheel out and putting it back in are dead easy. It just drops straight back in to the right place.
