  • Can the STW hive mind find a frame that ticks all these boxes?

Tidying the garage the other day and realised how many spare parts I have.

It got me thinking about how far off enough for a full build I was, so I jotted everything down.

Turns out I only need a frame, providing I can find one that meets the following specs.

    29er
    142×12 rear
    31.6 seatpost
    73mm Bb
    Tapered headtube
    2.35 tyre clearance
    Direct mount front derailleur

Thinking hardtail to sit alongside the full Susser.

Looked at the On-one lurcher, but rear dropouts are wrong as far as I can tell.

    Any ideas??

Forks could be either 100mm Sid or 140mm Fox 34 Talas

My 18″ Honzo frame? Currently 135×10, but 142×12 dropouts are available.

Email in profile if of interest.

Zealous Division (it’s what I replaced my Honzo with).

This is exactly what I was looking for, couldn’t find one when I had a look. So I am building one.

30.9 can be shimmed to 31.6 for less than a tenner with USE.

Why a front mech at all? Why not think about going 1×10?

And why limit yourself to a direct mount? Band mount mechs are cheap as chips to buy.

You could also get a 10mm bolt thru axle by DT seiss for a boost of stiffness too.

All of those options really open your choices up then.

Yes but read the OP again, 31.6 is never going to fit into 30.9
