Spotted a couple of what looked like ex military style camping trailers in the Lakes during the week.
Anyone know anything about such vehicles?

A certain place in Dumfries used to assemble the military trailers – not sure if there was a specific camping version. If they were trailer tent type things then probably Australian or something like that.

Have seen a few Sankey trailers converted into camping affairs. When I had my 90 I thought of doing one with a slide out drawer type kitchen unit and a roof tent on top with a carnet type awning.

I don’t know exactly what it is you’re asking, but I am sure the answer is to be found here.

And if not, who cares? It’s just an extra dose of awesomeness to make all our day better! 8)

And in case that wasn’t enough, allow me to resurrect this:
