  • Boot rack / roof rack for a saloon car with a spoiler?

    First question – does anyone make a boot rack that will fit on a saloon car, and one that will clear a spoiler on the saloon boot?? I know I could fit a tow bar but what if I didn't?

    Second question – having used a roof rack before with feet that grip the edge of the roof (rather than dedicated fitting channels), how do people stop damage to paint work etc. Last time I used a roof rack, the feet left marks and the bits that grip the roof near the doors chipped the paint off the door frame.

    Third question – Can I fit four bikes on a roof? (had three before now, but I can't envisage four adult mountain bikes?)

    PS, yes, I know my car sounds somewhat impractical for lugging bikes!?

    Stop pi55ing around and just fit a tow bar, also handy as a parking 'aid'.
