Had my June copy of Bike drop through the door today, and came across the 456 review on p90. Very good review by Vernon Felton. He sums up neatly:
“Here’s the part where I’d normally tally my complaints, but honestly I have none. If there’s a bell curve of riders, I sit smack-dap in the middle. I’ve given up XC racing and I don’t have the balls or robust-enough health insurance to support a true freeriding habit. This bike is sort of the same. With an adjustable-travel, thru-axle fork you can ride it just about anywhere. Pure XC geeks will shudder at the extra weight and those who routinely jump big and land flat are better served with a frame built for the abuse. For everyone else, this is a hard bike to beat”
Couldn’t have put it better myself,
