I've used Royal Mail for a frame and boxed bike. No issues when it got to the other end.

senditnow.com
They use parcel force, you can choose the pick up time and location and its cheaper than RM

Try Parcel2go.com as they will show you loads of quotes.

I've just used parcel monkey to send a fame to Belgium. Just put in the details of the package and they look for the best deal. As for packaging I just popped into LBS and asked for a box, it helps them as they have to get rid of the cardboard.

parcel force online , you also get a tracking no so you know it's delivered and the buyer knows it's on the way. Not bad price considering the service

parcel2go or interparcel. post office will cost you X, where X is a large number.

To post a frame, get a box from your local Halfords, they should give it for free, plenty bubble wrap on the frame and then use ParcelForce 48 hours, should cost under £15 for the postage.
Hope this helps.

Parcel Force 48 for me, they collect from your house so you don't have the hassle of taking it down to the post office.

I now use senditnow.com (ie. parcelforce) and have never had any problems.
I wouldn't use Parcel2go again, albeit I have used them several times without any problems, but the last time they damaged a frame in transit they didn't want to know even though it was fully insured.
