What normal (tubed) tyres have you found to seal best on Flows using just the rim tape and Olympic valve setup?
Does it make better sense to use a UST tyre instead?
Can you still run a tube with a UST if you get caught short on the trail?
Is there any need to have to use Stan's rim strips or is the tape alone good enough?

No idea, use UST

To me, yes (thicker sidewalls so less ripping & thicker at the base so maybe less burpy)

Yes, though there'll be some jizz to contend with (as they come, they'll only take a presta valved tube)

Tape is fine with a UST (nobby nic)

Maybe 
UST tyres are the way to go if you want less faff and are not worried about weight.
Non UST tyres are a slacker fit so tend to need the rubber rim strips to help inflation with a track pump.
I'm running mountain kings[non ust protection version] at the moment which needed a fair bit of sealant to stop them leaking air but are fine now.
