    Well they didn't actually stop making albums, but Iron Maiden's output after 1988's "Seventh Son" was total carp until Dickinson's return for "Brave New World" in 2000, although I really think they got rolling again with 2003's "Dance of Death".

    there was a little peak of BNW and DoD, but I listen to The X Factor far more than any of the last 4 albums.
    very underrated album.

    I do agree that some of the guitar work is very 'different' than Slash's but he ain't Slash and has his own style. Perhaps I would prefer Slash overall but then the tracks might have been railroaded down a Slash style…
