    It’s got an adjustment but all that does is shift the level at which it turns on full. It will always keep going at a low rate which then makes an extremely annoying humming noise all night long. It’s especially audible in those cold small hours in the morning when you lie awake looking at the ceiling thinking about all the mistakes you’ve made in your life.

    Fortunately there’s an external switch, so I can just switch it on/off manually, but then what’s the point of all the humidity gubbins? It’s an Envirovent.
