I think you need a brown sauce element in there too.

Home made “baked” beans, or bought in a shop and full of sugar?

too much mushiness in one place.
Both need processed carbs lying submissive beneath them, collecting oozy dampness and concealing a gorgeous layer of sliced, cured, pork products.

Anything else sounds like a diet, and for that you shall never be forgiven! 😯

Imo scrambled eggs require a very bad for you amount of butter or else they are just a broken up omelette.

And are best served with something salty eg bacon, sausage, kippers

Chorizo. The answer is always chorizo.

Mrs Binners one specification for a cooked breakfast is that under absolutely no circumstances can bean juice come into contact with eggs, especially scrambled ones. Its like crossing the streams in Ghostbusters

I’m inclined to agree with her. Don’t say you weren’t warned 😉

Soften some finely diced onions. Add a haricot (or other) beans. Add passata. Simmer for a bit. Put into a big jar and store in the fridge.

You can add chilli, or herbs, or chorizo, or all three.

Needs some fat IMO. I like a bit of chopped up crispy bacon in mine – a Saturday regular.

Baked beans contains tomato, which means it’s healthy. To make up for this you need some fried bread. Or black pudding. Or both.

    bagels??!

thought this site was English not ‘merican!!!

scrambled eggs should include lots of butter, mature cheddar, salt, black pepper and english mustard!!

    [grumble grumble, bagels indeed, grumble]

Amen to that. Easy to prevent this by separating them with a dam made of toast.

This is STW, you can get one-upped on any subject here.

To the OP – it’s my favoured combo for a pre-ride power breakfast (on toast), but if you’re on a bread-dodging diet I dunno if it’d work out tbh.

Its poached egg with smoked salmon FFS… and poached in a large pan of water not a poaching machine.

Spice up the beans and add some Salsa for a very poor-boy huevos rancheros… and I’d miss out the beans personally and just go with the Salsa and egg combo.

‘Cos apple juice has no sugar in it, right?

Those Whole Earth beans are a massive fail IMO. Only slightly less sugar than Heinz beans (3.9g/100g vs 5g/100g) but TWICE as much salt to make up for it. Still, at least they’re organic. 🙄

Beans with a dash of Worcester sauce, a sprinkle of chilli powder, eggs scrambled with a bit of butter and cumin. Buttered Wholemeal toast.

    Nom nom nom….

eggs with a bit of Tabasco and chill flakes are my favorite at the moment, might try cumin though.

I take the heat away as soon as they start to turn, and the eggs are still a little jelly like, and let the latent heat finish them off.

Do the scrambled eggs in olive oil.

and you forgot mushrooms ffs…how can you forget mushrooms? They’re even a super food!!

Scramble two eggs in a ramakin. Flake in some smoked mackerel. Nuke for around 90 seconds (watch carefully for the rise, and don’t overcook). Serve your mackerel souffle on toast…

EDIT – Beans OR eggs, unless a fry-up, in which case anything goes.
