My current ride is a Giant Defy 1 disc with post mount TRP Spyre cable pull disc brakes.
I’m wondering whether theres an adaptor available so that the latest flat mount hydraulic brakes could be used instead?
There seems to be greater availability of these than post mounts such as Shimanos rs685/785 combination.

Unfortunately, you can use an adapter to attach post mount calipers to flat mount forks/frames, but not the other way round.
This makes it very puzzling why the genesis equilibrium frameset, for example, has flat mount fork and post mount frame – you’re either forced to fit post mount calipers at both ends or (worse, in my opinion) mix different calipers front and back.

This is one of the reasons my recent build was based on the Kinesis Racelight 4S disc (much to the annoyance of a friend, who has a Defy)

Just stick to the RS785 brakes – but move quickly, before the price goes up (again)
