  • Anyone used a bulldog clip or similar to fit a stubborn tyre?

Just came to me the other morning. Those tyres that are so tight to fit, the ones that you end up chasing around the rim? Would a Bulldog clip or a clip like a clothes peg but really strong and grippy help? Clip it on and it stops the tyre from running off the rim as you mount the tyre the other end? Just a thought?

well you have 2 hands free unlike with one tyre lever so your less likely to get a pinch 🙂

Mine have always gone on just using my hands, work each side of the tyre till they meet in the middle.

That's why loads of tyre levers have a hook on the other end.

Clip the hook onto a spoke and the lever stays put. 💡

Yeh but thats to get the tyre off not on surely? I did say to put stubborn tyres on in teh OP – not easy tyres!

I presume that is a put down – typical of some people on here IMO 👿

Foxy – give it a go, if it works let us know. You may have invented a handy new technique for those with less gorilla-esque hands.

I'll give it a go when I next do a tyre and take some piccies for those with nibble but weedy fingers 🙂
