Looking at your site it does not seem clear exactly what the focus is. You have a link saying "All your biking needs" and this is quite a big claim for a website. Are you planning on setting up an e business? I would say do not have links that are not yet functional, and also if you do set up a biking business, set up a separate website, as right now, the business side looks very amateurish. That is not a criticism, just an observation from a marketing perspective. Also, think again about the claims you are making. Niche is often good, if you want to specialise in providing some biking needs that you feel other businesses can not provide.

I should probably add that my own website http://www.simonralli.com is a blog which is focussed on my experiences, research and masters degree dissertation around human – plant communication and the world's most powerful natural plant hallucinogenics but to be honest I can't see that being much use or inspiration to you and your bike-related site 😀

Taka, good start. I think you have a good eye, lets face it the coding is the easy bit, its the right look and layout that makes a good site, and I find so ruddy difficult.

My advice – firstly decide on what you are going to do – ok it may seem obvious but what exactly are you doing – i wanted to push local routes so i set up a website showing exactly that. On the other hand it may be for a business or a shop. Once you know what you want to do then you can find a decent solution – msn offer a free website thats not too bad check out http://www.cobbled-together.co.uk . alternatively you can pay hosting and set up your own content management system – i use one.com for hosting and joomla for content management (not on cobbled-together) with this you can add on e-commerce and various add ins. you might want a blog or a forum for local people or like minded riders, again there are apps. out there for these. first things first – set out what you want to do then go from there..hope this helps

cheers for the info im not trying to make it anything like singletrack just something for semi serious fun might make a race team out of it eventually and offer to sell personalized jerseys etc. according to the website host the name http://www.crumackfarmbikes.com would cost £15 a year its really a website to arrange rides and general stuff with local riders which i have yet to find 😉
