I've decided on a 'dry' New Year. Racing the Puffer24 solo following weekend.
Not going down too well with a few friends who think I'm taking it all 'too serious' but my wife's happy to go for a good meal instead. And I'm sure we can have a 'night-cap' if we feel the need (just the one to take in the bells).
Out on the bike Sunday morning - no hangover - ohh yes. (I know, I'll admit that I am getting old
but I don't really care!)

Nah i will be doing exactly the same. You going Fyrishing?
Posted 4 months ago # -
Hi Martin. Not decided yet. Heard Fyrish was waterlogged. Worse than Contin big time. Will see how the weather holds up.
Hoping to call in tomorrow to catch up if your working.

Not drunk in best part of 15 years, so another "dry" NYE for me!
Will probably be working too anyway, so no biggie.

Posted 4 months ago # -
no booze for me.. my digestive system has turned treacherous and is waging guerilla warfare on me at every opportunity..
booze won't help according to the quack..

After working late/early, on-call or nights every NYE since the millenium, I am drinking tomorrow night. Although just at home with our four beshtest friends so probably nothing horrendous...

i haven't drunk alcohol/smoked since 2004.so will definitely not be drinking in the new year (well except coffee
Posted 4 months ago # -
I'm also dry because of digestive issues, quite happy to do so, I'll probably be in bed for 10 anyway
Posted 4 months ago # -
Yep, me. I'm pretty much done with drinking completely apart from a very rare social pint like today. But I don't see any logic in alcohol in all honesty.
Won't be drinking that night and not sure when I will again
Posted 4 months ago # -
Yep haven't done drinking for over 6 years due to health, looking to ride the beast at coed Sunday so will have a clear head for that, don't miss hangovers whatsoever had some proper nasty ones too
Posted 4 months ago # -
I won't be.
WTF is an imperial century? Doesn't sound very British if it requires sobriety.
Posted 4 months ago # -
I am considering getting a nice bottle of malt and getting smashed with a few mates in the house.
Posted 4 months ago # -
I haven't drank since 1999 so it's rather likely!
Posted 4 months ago # -
Mids cx race new years day so I'll be in bed by 00.01 tee total
Posted 4 months ago # -
im driving so wont be drinking till i get home !
Posted 4 months ago # -
Been exactly a year since I last drank. Will do when I get to target weight. (2st off, another 2st to go).
No place for booze if I'm keen on shifting weight.Posted 4 months ago # -
Will be abstaining until April at the earliest...

SBZ what's your address again?
Posted 4 months ago # -
Doubt i'll be drinking.
Up early for a Calderdale ride on New Years Day & don't want a hangover!
Posted 4 months ago # -
No drinking for me either, never really drink but have a ride planned over the hour of midnight tomorrow anyway. Won't miss it at all!
Posted 4 months ago # -
Surely it's a 100+ mile ride with minty sweets?
I will be drinking on behalf of you lot and may accidentally shout your usernames once inebriated in tribute. I'm glad "anus" hasn't contributed yet.
I have a lot of respect for those that forego the temptation and participate among the drunken idiots without damaging their own brains. Here's to you *raises a glass of Weston's*

Not back to work until Tuesday,Alek!

WTF is an imperial century?
A proper Wunundred. Not some namby-pamby poncy foreign muck one.
Posted 4 months ago # -
Proper = metric
Posted 4 months ago # -
I'll be dry. Possibly driving around Sunday morning and planning on getting up at 6am for an early ride before my 6 year old wakes up. No he'll not be left alone, his mother's in the house. Maybe I'll get back in time to make them breakfast :o)

Proper = metric
BLASPHEMER!
Burn him!
Posted 4 months ago # -
Being a good guy grey and babysitting so my brother can go get smashed, so doubt I will bother drinking.
Posted 4 months ago # -
Just can't be bothered that much any more!
Posted 4 months ago # -
So an imperial century is.....a century.
Anyone thinking a metric century can have its prefix omitted is quite clearly wrong.
