I'll be reloacting to Lisbon soon. Just wondering what the lifestyle, cost of living, bars and most importantly, the riding, is like out there.

Currently located in London so expecting some major differeces since Lisbon is much smaller.

If anyones got any experiences to relate I'd appreciate it.

Lived in Cascais in the mid 90's for three years.
Socially was quite enjoyable and pretty cheap, not sure now though.
Obviously the weather is a plus (march – november, rest of the time it seemed to be cold and wet).
Riding was mainly up in the sintra hills – a fair bit of variation though very sandy – if you have the option, take a road bike also.

Not lived in Lisbon but spent a fair bit of time in that area, can also recommend the Sintra area, only a short journey (on very efficient & cheap trains), as mentioned above there is some very good road riding outside Lisbon but beware the drivers in Lisbon take a bit of getting used to.

Theres also some world class surf on the coastal areas of Lisbon if your into that.
