Can anyone solve this equation?
Change the subject of the equation to R.
1 over R = 1 over x + 1 over y

is your formula supposed to say:
1/R = 1/r +1/r?
In which case it would be:
1/R = 2/r
r = 2R
R = r/2
ah, you've edited
1/R = 1/x + 1/y
1/R = (x+y)/xy
R = xy/(x+y)
Has university challenge taught you nothing?!? It's either zero or one.
What stoner said.
Or dd
42.
Well it is the answer to everything.
Stoner has the correct answer
1/R = 1/x + 1/y
R = 1/(1/x + 1/y)
xR3i = 3ix/(1/x + 1/y)
j
the answers j, it's always j in 'complicated' mathematics........
I agree with stoner, oh and it is the right answer to!
Looks like a baby robin to me............
