Can somebody recommend me an ideal place to stay in Tenerife please.
The wife will be with me. So she will need a pool etc .. Looking for somewhere fairly quiet but close enough to road bike a couple of days up Teide.

Night clubs/ discos are not at all required!

El Medano, lived there for a few years. Do some research on it, its nice. Also a decent bike shop in the village. BTW 53K climb from this coastal village to the top of Teide if I remember correctly.

Think there is 3 Hotels in total.

Beach is nice, big wind/kite surf community which is multi european.

+1 for Medano. There used to be a good restaurant in Los Abgigos overlooking the sea- but it might all have changed, I’ve not been there for years.

Don’t rule out Los Cristianos if the good lady needs a little more to do than just lay by the pool.

It’s more commercialised than El Médano but nowhere near as bad as Las Americas etc.

Saying that, if it’s not too windy, then El Médano gets my vote any day. But bear in mind that it’s a mecca for wind surfers and kite boarders then you’ll probably realise that it’s likely to be windy.

Not much of that going on today though, the sea was like a millpond 😀

Potdog, unusual that it was a mill pond them days are few and far between, do miss living there. The wind was good for strength on the bike though.

Got some mental mates that live there, watch out!
