Has anyone burned those bricks that you make out of compressing and drying wet newspaper?

Will they bugger up my flue?

My mother in law has made hundreds of them for her son… who doesn’t want them.

They are okay (used a couple last night that are two seasons old) but tend to work better in conjunction with logs. I gave up making them – way too much hassle and time-consuming.

Depends how well you make them. If they are pretty compact and dry they burn really well. Take them and mix them in with your wood.
