Hi, my mate has jekyll 800 and the rear shock has seen better days to say the least. trouble is it looks like an odd ball shock as it obviously has mounts halfway down it. He would like to know what shock was the original and what he can use instead of ??

Thanks to all who answered the other similar question about the front forks.

Mine has a fox float rl with a jekyll screw-mount halfway down the body.

That's a bargain, if it's the right one. I paid about £120 for a service with new shock body at TFT last year.

Buy that quick, looks a real bargain.
As otherwise you only option is to get it serviced and hope there nothing majorly wrong with it. I'm only aware of this type of shock (mid mounted) being used on the Jekyll (I might well be ill-informed), so there ain't much choice out there…

yet again the STW massive have exceeded all expectations (and without the almost compulsory sarcastic remarks!) thanks to all, i think i might buy a jekyll now to take advantage of the bargain shock from crc – ta very much big n daft.
