An observation about badgers - North / South Divide

Did 100 miles in the chilterns and Southampton and saw 6 dead badgers

Did 250 miles around Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire and didnt see one?

Either our Northern badgers are much better at dodging cars, or we dont have any badgers, or we have less traffic?, or some bar steward kept moving the same badger along my route?

Any ideas?

Nature types often say lots of dead animals is a sign of lots of them. You see fewer dead hedgehogs now so they need help.

I saw two in 125 miles in Southern Scotland yesterday if that's any use?
