    just wondering if anyone out there has suffered an A.C.J Dislocation.lost the bike on a sharp left hand turn which resulted in seperating my shoulder and collar bone,been told its grade 3. not sure if to go the surgery way or let nature do its thing.any experiences?

    If at all possible, avoid ac surgery. I think at best, the results tend to be 50/50. My advice would be to go and see a good physical therapist privately right now rather than waiting half a life time for a referral and do exactly what they tell you and exactly how much they tell you to do.

    thanks for quick reply,yep would prefer not to have surgery and was told its my choice.only down sided would be 15% lost of strength and bump.my sisters a physio so will see what she can suggest,cheers zebmc

    The bump is just cosmetic and 15% loss of strength would probably be a conservative estimate. Chances are, you could get more with good advice and determination.

    The operation may limit range of movement. Which is more important to you?
