    but don’t play it so fast. You can get the chords from here, which is a good site too.
    clicky
    Also, look for MrB the Chap Hop genius, particularly Songs for Acid Edward, (especially if you are of an age to appreciate 90’s rave) and The Crack Song.

    Happy strumming. (been playing nearly a year, and love it!)

    Think C, F, and G7 are nice and easy. Something like Happy Birthday in chords. See if you can find a teacher and/or a good book, a good teacher will get you going in no time. I teach guitar btw 🙂

    Are ukeleles physically easier to play than a guitar?

    I was almost tempted into acquiring one before Christmas.

    Thing that put me off the guitar was all the contorted hand shapes and sore fingers from grappling with the neck of it.

    Yes, they are reckoned to be easy to learn, (to a basic level). but then leave plenty of scope for development,(see video below) The strings are much lighter, so less painful to start learning but you still have some of the hand contortion with more complex chords. E’s a right bugger.

    @StefMcDef

    Uke’s are smaller and only have four strings so yes, bit easier to play. But it’s never going to sound quite like a guitar!! 😉

    A classical guitar is like an acoustic but with softer strings like a uke so is less painful so it’s a good way to start (plus they’re cheap)

    That Jake clip above – not the first time I’ve seen it by a long stretch, and certainly not the last either. Magical.

    I’ve never played an instrument in my life, but I will buy myself a ukulele in 2012.

    Hey Joe would be easy to play on one……..there’s also that song by Noah and the Whale?…..think its them anyway-can’t remember what it was called but thats very easy too…..make sure you’ve got a chord chart and you’re good to go!
