Trying to get a bit of blank space under my images on my blog on the following page

I can’t get the code to display here but it’s basically the flickr image code.

Any ideas how I get a space underneath so the images don’t look all bunched up?

There IS a bit of blank space there for me? In fact its nearly as big as the image.

change the <p> to <p class=somename>
and a style in the head section (or anywhere really)
<style>
p.somename { padding-bottom: 50px }
</style>

where 50 pixels is the height of the space

justadd this to your CSS:

div.post-entry img { margin-bottom: 20px; }

Ignore him. It is a strong image, regardless of what angle the horizon is at (which is entirely irrelevant to your shot).

perhaps I’m oversenstive, as due to astigmatism, most of my shots come out tilted, and I routinely rotate them straight afterwards 🙂 However, I would suggest that it is not authenticity to include flaws merely generated by the photographic process…

Neither is it always a “good thing” to have perfectly straight horizons:

Certainly the crookedness is the first thing I see and it distracts from the other content

I think the 3rd one is straight. And I didn’t say that being tilted was rubbish, only that it’s an unnecessary distraction, and looks like carelessness

You think crooked shots are anything to do with the capture medium?

With regard to Cartier-B etc, of course the act of photography and the subsequent printing/mounting or latterly scanning are quite separate – I don’t think there has ever been a requirement to slavishly print the entire neg any more than only one grade of paper being allowed.
