Am just waiting on my Tripster AT frame to arrive and am musing the idea of a spare set of wheels for gravel – the tracks around here are pretty rough and I’m also entered for the Dirty Reiver.

Are there any good deals about for 650b road wheels at the mo? I’d ideally like to spend <£150.

I tried to find some around that budget also, in the end went for hope pro 4 hubs from Merlin at £174 and WTB Sti 25 tcs rims at £16 from planetx, should build into a lovely set of wheels shod with WTB byways 650b x47 for my Vaya. You could cheapen things by using Novatec hubs

I got some from superstar sale, stans crest on SS something hubs and bought wtb resolutes in 42c. Bike geo is a 700 so the BB is tiny bit lower but I don’t notice after 5 seconds. Still put bigger wheels back on for tarmac commutes.

I have a Cannondale Slate and run Hope XC wheels (650b) on the rear with a hope XC rim on the lefty front.
The Slate is disc only though.

Your best bet is stick an ad in the wtd forum at that budget or check eBay
