I never thought the film was up to much to be honest. Obviously stands as a great tribute to those who flew during the war and that though. But oh my what a theme tune, up there with the best

Love 633 Squadron, and had the theme music as my ring tone for ages.
Which was great until someone called me when I was on a crowded tram in Bremen

Watched it a couple of years ago with my son (then 11); he was lost for words when none returned - too use to Disney and the like.

Saw it as a kid, with my dad, along with most of the other great war films. Bridge on the River Kwai had particular resonance, as he was a POW in Changi.
