    What's the best way to go for cycle insurance, 3rd party.

    I know CTC do one, but I thought there were a few alternatives out there. Can't find any in a quick google though.

    Do other people bother with insurance. I commute daily and do the odd event so it seems prudent to get something.

    CTC, British Cycling, some local groups such as the London Cycling Campaign. I'm with the CTC, never had to use them but it's nice to have piece of mind and they have a legal advice service too if you need to claim against someone. I'm not sure whether competitive cycling is included though.
