    Hi,
Anyone able to give me some advice on overhauling a 2003 SID rear shock? As fitted to Trek Fuel 100, has the remote lockout.

    Thanks

You can do an air can service like any shock, but the damper is pressurised so would have to be sent to TF for a service.
Which invariably is more than the shock is worth.

I've got one and will be just riding it into the ground.

    Thanks TINASpoon

Found air can service online, looks straightforward. Presumably each of the O-rings/seals is available as a spare (in a kit)? (Looks from site I found there are the following: Fixed Piston Glide Ring; Fixed Piston O-ring; Can O-ring; U-cup seal, glide ring and wiper.)

So you would say the damper is nonservicable?

If the shock is not losing air is there any benefit in an air can service?

    Dom
