  • 11 speed cassette driver / freehub question

    I have a standard pro 2 hub (135mm) and freehub which is currently running a 10sp cassette. If I were to go 11 speed would I need a new freehub?

    Does this depend on if I go for Sram or Shimano 11sp?

    You’ll definitely need an xD driver for SRAM 11 speed, don’t think you need a new freehub body for Shimano

    Shimano uses the standard freehub body

    You need a new freehub body for SRAM due to the 10T smallest cog they use. Shimano use an 11T so would be fine with a standard freehub.
