Whether you’ve got an older frame you want to fit with a dropper, or you’ve got a wholly new fangled gravel bike which you want to take down more extreme trails than your towpath, Crankbrothers’ new Highline 27.2in dropper posts will likely be of interest.
The Highline 27.2 XC/Gravel will be available in 60, 80, 100, and 125mm drops, with short or long post insertion available for the 60mm dropper, and long insertion posts for the 80mm and above. There’s a separate two-way drop bar remote, available for £42.99 that can be operated from different hand positions.
Inside, there’s a hydraulic IFP cartridge and quick connection on the base of the dropper – just like the rest of the Highline range. As with other Highlines, it’s cable actuated with infinite positions along the dropper’s height.
The droppers will be available in December at a cost of £224.99 for the post and £42.99 for the actuator from Crankbrothers and Extra UK.

Crank Brothers / Moving Parts / UK weather… this will end well.
Few older frames have internal cable routing. This range really needs either under-saddle levers or an external actuator.
I think the Highline (at least the regular ones) uses the same Wintek-branded cartridge as a lot of other reliable posts, so should be OK, reliability wise. I really like the look of the drop-bar lever though, would be tempted to try that with an externally routed post
