I’ll be pedalling along and up and down the AGGREGATE 100 route on the Specialized AWOL Comp. I’ve changed the stock wheels and have made time to setup them up tubeless. I’ve not found time to wash the bike yet…It’s been a busy week and is set to be a busy weekend with Tom and I riding two Enduro events. The Ard Rock on Saturday and the AGGREGATE 100 on the Sunday. In preparation for this undertaking I’ve added this sticker to the stem –

Keep smiling!

There is fresh rubber from Panaracer in a 40c size and made tubeless with the addition of Stans rim tape, valves and a generous splash of race sealant to the Alpkit orbit LOVE MUD wheels.

A top tube bag from Alpkit contains a fine selection of nutritious and delicious delights as well as go faster and justkeepgoing gels.

I’m making use of two out of the possible three waterbottle mounts on the frame with a waterbottle on the downtube and a Specialized tool keg on the seattube.

Within the keg is a tube, tyre lever, CO2 and a tool. Be prepared.

To make sure that I can keep myself hydrated, fueled and prepared for the possibility that rain will fall (hope it won’t) additional water, essential supplies and a teeny tiny packable waterproof will go in the Mavic crossride hip pack. Shoes are GIRO’s terraduro model, perfect!

Bib shorts for long distance comfort and casual shorts and top – well loved and very nearly worn out VULPINE summer shorts that I’ve had for a couple of years and used in all weathers and a simple t-shirt made from bamboo.

Socks? Dry ones. Possibly clashing, maybe matching.

What’s left to do?
Wash the bike, fit a gopro, get a haircut and have fun!
