We’ve just heard from Genesis Bikes that it has issued a recall for three steel forks which are specced on some of its 2015 bikes. If you have any of the following bikes, have a read of this and follow the recall process.
2015 Genesis Croix de Fer 10 bike, Rosso Red.
2015 Genesis Tour de Fer frameset, Matt Silver.
2015 Genesis Croix de Fer 20 bike, White.
Genesis issued this statement:
“While there is no immediate risk to safety and there have been no reported failures we have chosen to recall these forks and to replace them, free of charge with a brand new fork.
Customers who have bought these models should urgently contact the authorised Genesis dealer where they bought their bike or frameset to have a replacement fork fitted free of charge.”
“Replacement forks can be easily identified by the winged ‘G’ logo on the inside of the fork blade as shown above.
If you own one of the models pictured above and it has a steel fork without this marking please urgently contact your dealer to have a replacement fork fitted.
No other Genesis bikes or frames are affected.
Authorised dealers MUST fit the replacement forks.
