    Like this fella

What would you do* with £100m?

I think that I would start with this then try and fill it with bikes, walking boots and other outdoor activity stuff.

*Funny, amusing and light answers only please. Save the “disgusted of STW” stuff for another day eh?

I’d hope party a bit but do something useful like set up and run a charity.

Are there stats on how things work out for lottery winners – don’t many end up bankrupt?

100 x £1M would be way better prizes

Depression for a lot of them, they become paranoid, people only hang around them for thier bank balance, they trust no one, etc.

Hookers and blow, bikes, cars and holidays. Then probably waste the rest.

edit. replace Pastor Maldonado at lotus F1 (He paid for a drive, why can’t I? im awesome at f1 on PS3.)

Me and mrs ws were on about this the other day, we were saying how we’d be generally concerned for the safety of the kids. Don’t think we could let the 12 year old walk to school anymore.
    Think we’d definitely stay anonymous!

Had this conversation at work once – we asked the question “how much would you give away?”

We ranged from “maybe £3m but no more – it’s mine”, though a Mormon who immediately had to hand over £10m before he thought about what to do with the rest, to someone who said they’d give away £90m and still live a very mice life thank you very much.

Be nice to have the choice, eh?!!

Go and see the world for a few years to start with! Probably using a large motor home.

Ironically, the more money I had the more basic and frugal a life I’d probably live. Can’t say I’d have a real desire for fancy cars anymore. No interest in the champagne lifestyle. No kids so no need for massive fancy house. I would genuinely see me living a very quiet life in the countryside. I’d keep a place in Scotland and buy a place in the alps. Go travelling for a while but again I can see me doing it low key rather than 5 star luxury. Only definite luxury would be first or business class travel.

People always say I’m mental when I say if I played the lottery I’d much rather win £500,000 than £50,000,000

    Something in Provence pour moi:

and something to go to the market:

And I’d order a machine from a previous employer and be a big pain in the ass of a customer.

I was thinking about this the other day. The answer is, not a lot.

I’d move house, shop for some stuff on my list, then do a lot of relaxing, biking then think about self-improvement and philanthropy.

Well for one thing I wouldn’t **** tell the world about it… talk about setting yourself up as a target for criminals & opportunists.

Give most of it away (foundations & “small” personal gifts), I don’t need £100 million, though I’d like the chance to make sure.

oooh – I’d have to splash out. Maybe a nice casio watch, 2nd hand audi/Octavia/Porsche944 and a bling custom re-spray of my inbred. White probably would look good.

    Maybe a new woodstore too….

Edit – I have no idea. Its a bonkers amount. Not skewing my idea of value/earnings etc would be an issue to address.

Glad that guy won it, if ever there was a passion that you need a decent amount of cash for, it’s motorsport! Hope he gets to live his dream 🙂

I’d buy a plane and spend the rest of my life visiting every place I could with family and friends.

Firstly if the plane didn’t offer first, I’d be getting one that did. As for travel there are the over 5* places where the staff have confidentiality agreements and you can just chill out

Yep, I can’t see how it can end well. I reckon it ruins most winners lives.

Like. How ace to go backpacking literally without a care in the world. Have a night of luxury if you want one, fly home if it takes your fancy, but other than that, just bezz around entirely at leisure.

I don’t think I’d want to win that big, especially if everyone knew. It would give me more stress than piece of mind I think.

Would be almost impossible to keep existing friends and I think it would be hard to be accepted with either ‘Old Money’ or successful entrepreneur people.

Only people you’d really fit with are other lottery winners.

Buy a couple of houses so that I can move with the sun over the year and bike year round, put enough away to never have to work again. Some to family but the majority to charity of some form.

Dont want to be cynical but how long will that couple last, good luck to them though I hope they enjoy it. Never go public 😕

Me I would move to Finland, would spend a lot of time going to sporting events, would cycle a lot and get really fit.

Give away most of it or set up some sort of charitable foundation. Buy house somehere – Ibiza? and here. Get prospectuses (sp?) for some boarding schools :D, travel.

I’m sure you think that’s what you’d do, but chances are, once it had sunk in that you could do whatever you liked, whenever you liked, your life would take on a whole new meaning.

I’d like to think I’d give a lot away, but reckon I’d get more pleasure from NOT giving it to some people, as giving it to worthy friends/family.

of £100m, I’d give about £2m away to family, put £4m away for the kids, keep £4m for the Mrs and I and with the remaining £90m create a Trust owned investment fund the income off which would be given to local charities etc in Worcestershire. Id have fun working on the investment fund doing projects that interest me, and the income can be put to good use.

I like bikes and cars so I’d spend a bit of cash on them.

Would be nice to put together a collection of pristine stuff from my youth. A couple of pieces of bonkers exotica for sure too, but it would be nice to have stuff like pristine MkII Golf Gti’s, Lancia Intergrales, Escort Cosworths etc. Stuff that I could work on myself with all my new free time.

Set up a car restoration ‘business’ restoring cars I buy and make myself the apprentice so I learn what to do.

I think the biggest danger is that your partners and your own dreams take you in different directions and with no money issues to stop you both following them your relationship suffers.
