So seem to have sorted the ? Folder problem on macbook by putting new HDD in. Now I can't seem to access internet recovery mode. So where can I download a recovery disk from so I can format the new windows hdd and put os x back on?
No idea how Mac itunes works as not my Mac/never used one. I have a windows laptop to DL and create recovery usb.
Help?
Right I have yosemite dmg, any way to usb bootable without a mac?
Can be done with transmac and a couple of other tools

Keep us posted. As I understood it the recovery mode code was held in firmware but I am not an expert. Have a search of MacRumors.
FWIW iTunes has nothing to do with what you want to do.
I needed it to download the Yosemite OS...
Really ? You need an app store account but that's not iTunes as such. I stand corrected though.
