What's with people talking into their phone held horizontally?

People are just idiots when using phones.

Speakerphones. May be great for their lazy ass but shit for the person at the other end. Radio phone-ins frequently have to tell them to get off speaker phone so they can actually hear them.

Using a mobile to call from a house when they have a landline. Again, the person the other end has to listen to crap quality and constant break ups with rubbish indoor reception.

Walking around the house with a mobile, breaking up the reception, or worse chatting while having a piss (have both seen this in offices and been on the other end of the phone when someone’s doing it).

Listening to music on a phone speaker. Bad enough listening to it on the shitty earphones that come with them, but mono music from the crappiest of speakers possible, is just, shit.

I’m sorry but I have to chime in again, 2 really annoying things:

Phones playing music on loud speaker, just no, it sounds utterly awful even if you have the best phone on the market, I’d rather not hear it at all if it’s through a phone loudspeaker.

And a friend of mine sometimes calls me on loudspeaker, presumably because he’s super busy and on the move. I just hang up, call me when you have time so I don’t get all your background noise thanks.

Some of you lot are strange. The correct method is to let everything go to voice mail then decide if you should have picked up or not.

I’ve not gone that far but my phone is on silent 99% of the time.

I got given a pebble watch. Best thing ever. Now I simply leave the phone on silent in my pocket and ignore 99% of calls and texts! Speaking on a phone in public should be banned, never mind holding the phone like a sandwich and talking to it.
