I've been stripping the parts off my Genesis Vapour as donor. The front mech is bottom pull. There is a pulley at the bottom of the seat tube to run the cable around.
The X doesn't appear to have the bolt hole for a pulley. Do I need a top pull mech, and if so can you point me at one?
It's a 9 speed double Tiagra drive train at present.

Thanks

Most standard front mechs are dual (top or bottom) pull, so will work either way.

Put the model number into Google(or you preferred search engine) and the magics of the internets will tell you if it will work.

Or email/ring Cotic, they'll sort you out.

On my X I just bunged on a selection of any old mechs I had kicking around. The cable routes under the BB as normal via a standard plastic guide thing.

Of course - I was getting ahead of myself looking at how the vapour was setup. 😳

New BB bought - back to fettling.
