    Just as an aside, sphagnum moss is brilliant for wiping your arse if you get caught short on the moors. Holds lots of moisture and much softer than Andrex. Nature’s own wet wipes.

    Edit: that photo of Moss makes me weep for my lost youth.

    It looks like a Polytrichum or Pogonatum of sorts (the green one) and the other more dendroid one is Thuidium tamariscinum :o). need a hand lens to check for hair points, serrated edges to the leaves etc etc….

    Those look like Umma Gumma tyres. They’re going to wear out really quickly. Even on grass. Or moss.
