I’d like a dropper but need to swap it between frames (I’m not buying 2).

    What, if anything, is good?

I’m gonna buy a KS Dropzone, recommended by a few people on here.

dropzones seem to be a bit hard to come by – are they no longer in the UK?

    None.

Get one with a remote! They’re 10x more usable with the remote than a crotch grab.

    I have 2x KS Lev. 😳

Thomson are dropping the under the saddle lever shortly so if you want one be quick.

If you regard the dropper post as being an easier way to lower the saddle when you stop, then go with the lever. Most people use the post while still moving, which is why the remote is so much better.

TBH if you are considering a Thomson just buy two from someone else with a remote for the same money. Basically the remote is what makes it a game changer.

Use Velcro strap to attach cable then it’s just a case of bolting on the lever. If the seat tube angle is different that adjustment will take longer anyway

Gravity Dropper do “knob on post”. Or just cable tie cable(no hose to bleed etc)
    😉

what seat post diameter? I’ve got a ks dropzone with a lever which is a wee bit too short for me & my bike 30.6mm

Wait for the Thomson with the Bluetooth remote? I think ks have something similar in the pipeline.

I’ve got a Gravity Dropper non-remote. Same reason as the OP, wanted to use it on two bikes and the wife’s is a real pain if you need to remove the post for any reason.

It does need a tiny bit of planning before a descent, I think if I ordered again I would just get a 2″ single drop as its a bit fiddly finding the mid position 1″ drop, and the full 3″ is too much for downhill singletrack.
