Sonnie is a yellow Fiat 500 1.4 Sport. More smiles per mile than you can possibly imagine. We will probably trade up to an Abarth Essesse next.
Natasha is a red Alfa Romeo 147 2.0 Twin Spark Lusso. Why did I wait so long to get an Alfa? Loving her so much. And I think she is the only the second Alfa on the thread. Would love a Q4 Brera or Q4 159 Sportwagon.
How strange this post is up 7 months after I started it !
We bought a Merc C270 cdi estate in the end, but sadly its now gone so actually looking for another car !
(great car 55mpg but had an electrical fault that kept reoccurring and refuse to spend anymore on it, sold on ebay with known problem)
I’ve got an 03 mk4 Golf GT TDI 130 it’s good. 106k on the clock, 50+ mpg.
Want to replace it with an A5 once we’ve bought a house! Can’t bring myself to drive the Sportback as it looks rubbish, so it’ll have to be the Coupe and struggle with bikes!
PePPeR you rock. My granny had one of those. My brother took it on when she died and I was on the insurance. It was a really fun car to drive around in, go for picnics, take life easy in. Apparently a bit of a collectors item now.
2004 Mk6 Transit T300 SWB Lowroof.
Having had a van I will never go back to a car. Vans are just so much better in every respect.
[EDIT] Except that van insurance policies never come with ‘drive other cars’ for some bizzare reason, other than that everything is better.
.
Would quite like an Integrale Evo3 as a fun car if I had the funds though.
.
1.2 Vauxhall corsa N reg 106000 miles. Paid £290 for it. Paid about £1300 for my bike. Priorities 🙂
My first was a 1.6 Proton Persona, paid £200 for it. At the time that was cheaper than a Hope C2 disc brake, which I had 4 of! Current van was cheaper than the frame of the current race bike.
Well i currently own a silver forged 420bhp mitsubishi evolution 8 which was completely impractical for my good lady to drive so I also bought a stock evolution 9 FQ360 to tootle down the shops in!!
Very reasonable 4500 service intervals with the silver one returning around 13mpg so I like to think im doing my bit for shell shareholders…..i jest of course!!
Asides the above they are amazing cars to drive!! This is my fourth having owned a 5, 6, the 8 and 9!!
The silver one is for sale if anyone is interested? 😀
I own a 2010 vw scirocco 2.0 petrol fsi turbo
and a 2010 abarth 500 esseesse which has been tuned to 200 hp and 255 nm of torque.
I still get 40 mpg and it costs next to nothing to tax and insure.
Nippy as its only just over a ton in weight.
A lot of nice cars mentioned and pics posted but when Pepper first mentioned his cars I instantly wanted to see them.. more than anything else mentioned on the thread.
Putting the dog aside, its the only car than made me flutter when you posted a pic of it. I still want to see the mark1 twingo though, so get a pic up!
Touran TDi – looking to replace with van/kid/bike/canoe carrier. Its been pricey to run, but good car still, and feels good and ‘tight’ for a 110,000mile car…
Yaris D4D – bought of my dad, has 70k on clock and has never had anything other than tyres, service and windscreen wipers replaced until a few weeks ago – and that was a 2 hr job to change discs and pads. Ace car…And I don’t treat it gently… Canoe in a Yaris…. by matt_outandabout, on Flickr
