Website/forum feedback?

Would this be an appropriate place to have a thread with feedback about the website/forum?

There was at one point a sticky on the main forum, but was de-stickied as understandably it didn’t look great having a load of whining about how awful the new forum is!

I have a shopping list of things I’d like to see/return, but don’t want to be viewed as a big whiner!

Didn’t Mark say something about a bit of an upgrade happening soon – that’s sure to kick things off as you can’t please all of the people all of the time and we know how much some like to whinge about the forum. I’d think that sort of discussion is better on the main forum though as I think there’s no difference in the user experience between members & non members, apart from ad-removal.

My feedback, when I use Android mobile to go to the profile page and try to view ‘my replies’ the page often keeps refreshing.

I tried to look at someone else’s posting activity recently and it did the same, quite irritating!

I was a good boy and emailed it in rather than posting on the forum…completely ignored!

Like and dislike buttons with comments below threshold being hidden would be good, like pinkbike comments

Would be crap for a discussion forum as if there is an, initially, minority view, it doesn’t get heard, same if there are cliques within a thread, as it would get voted out of sight pretty quickly.

Yeah that’s a fair point, hadn’t thought how that could be abused

My Favorites (sic) list has lost one. I visit the thread and it says ‘unfavourite’ at the top, so I assume it’s still a favorite but not showing on my list.

It won’t have been ignored, it’ll have been put on the tracker. What you won’t get in all likelihood – and it’s the second time today I’ve typed this – is a personal reply unless more information is required. It’s just not practical.

Alex, for stuff like that you really need to report it. It’ll be useful to Tech.

Can you put the Classified link back on front page on mobile device rather than hide it away in the hamburger menu?

Has the need to post a second post on a new thread to make it visible been acknowledged?
